What customers say
“Alvin and Nick performed a maintenance service on our noisy garage door. A courtesy call was made 10 minutes before their arrival. They inspected everything, checked all hardware for tightness, changed all worn rollers and lubricated everything. Our door operated much smoother and quieter. Alvin & Nick were very professional and were in & out in roughly 1 hour. We plan to have them perform annual maintenance & lube moving forward.”
“Angelo did a great job tuning up both of my garage doors. He was friendly, thorough, and very efficient!”
“Jerson went above and beyond when he came out to make a repair. He completed a quick “tune up” by tightening bolts and oiling the rollers. Extremely courteous and professional.”
“Jerson was amazing! I watched him install weatherstripping so quick and did some tune up On my door. Now I don’t see any daylight coming through and door open/close smoothly and quietly than before. Very professional.”
“These guys did a great job. I was able to get an appointment for the very next day and Owen did a great job explaining all that went into the repair and making recommendations for on-going maintenance.”
“Angelo was my service technician; professional, informative & personable. He arrived at 9:50 (was scheduled from 9-12), came in and inspected everything. He went about his work as quietly as one can working with metal and he completed his work at 10:40. Not only did he replace the broken spring, he replaced the other spring and he changed out all of the metal rolls for the harden nylon ones to make the door operation quieter. When I was a Field Supervisor, if Angelo working as one of my techs, I would have him train new hires and/or make him my Lead Tech. Top marks!”
“Alvin & Amir were very helpful in making sure our issues with our garage door were totally solved. They checked and double checked all features to ensure everything was working properly.”
“Angelo was informative, professional and easy to work with! He was on time and fixed our garage door sensors very quickly:)”
“Jerson arrived promptly and fixed our garage door remote quickly and efficiently. He also recommended necessary upkeep for the garage door wheels, which we will likely hire the business to handle in the near future. I recommend this business for easy solutions.”
“Five star service. I called Garage Doors & More to get a follow up on a previous garage door tune up. Expected to get the usual finger pointing, but their customer service rep sent a tech out to my home early next day. His name is Alvin. He was timely, professional, experienced, and highly customer-focused. Alvin identified and quickly fixed my noisy garage door problem. Not only that, he explained how to prevent the problem from happening again. Kudos to Alvin for his excellent service. Definitely ask for Alvin when you request a service call from Garage Door & More.”

Common questions
How often should my door be serviced?
Once a year is the right baseline for most households. Consider more frequent service if you use the door more than 6 times a day or it’s more than 10 years old.
How long does a tune-up take?
About 30 minutes for most doors.
What can I do myself between visits?
You can wipe down the door, lubricate hinges, rollers and the spring with a garage-door lubricant (not WD-40), clean the photo-eye lenses and replace remote batteries.
What should I leave to a professional?
Anything involving spring tension, cables, track alignment, or the opener’s force and limit settings.
How do I test my door’s safety reverse?
Place a 2×4 flat on the floor under the door and close it. The door should reverse when it touches the board. If it doesn’t, call us.
Does Charlotte’s climate affect my door?
Summer humidity can rust unpainted hardware and swell wood doors, and pollen can clog tracks and rollers. Annual lubrication and a spring track cleaning prevent most of this.
