Yes, a garage workout! It’s a great idea.
Ever think of getting a workout in your garage?
Your garage was designed for a specific purpose (storing your car), but that doesn’t mean you can’t do something else with the space. For example, ever thought of putting a home gym inside your garage?
We all know the benefits of regular exercise, but going to the gym is often inconvenient—while at the same time, trying to lift weights in your living room is a recipe for distraction. By creating your own, dedicated exercise space in your garage, you can get the convenience of staying home, and the privacy and motivation of a gym.
You don’t need a lot of space, nor do you need to stop using your garage for other purposes, in order to get a workout in your garage. All you really need are some weights and an exercise bike, plus a bench or a floor mat, all of which can easily be stored out of the way when not in use. You may find you need to move your car to the driveway temporarily in order to work out, but you don’t need a lot of bulky equipment or the latest gadgets. After all, the reason gyms have a lot of different types of machines is that each user has their own preference—but in your home gym, the only one you have to please is you (and your spouse of course!).
While it may be true that you can’t use your garage for everything, you can use it for virtually anything. All you have to do is get creative about how you use your space. A garage workout is where we would start.
